| So tonight i got back to David's apartment at exactly 11:47. We went inside to play a few games of Halo2 before i left for home. I told my dad that I would be home by 1:00am. Well, we played a few games, and at 12:45 I went to leave. But lo and behold, my car was gone. No trace. Vanished. No glass on the ground. No note. Nothing.
Well, i go and get david and call my dad. David and I go to the main office of the complex and find a note on the door stating that every car without a parking sticker will be towed immediately; it also leaves a number to call. Now, the stupid part of this story is that i was parked in David's spot! He owns 2 parking spaces (1 for his car, 1 that he pays EXTRA FOR EVERY MONTH for his friends to park in). that is where i was parked. they did not try to contact David, or leave a note, or anything. Instead, from 11:47 to 12:50 they found the car, called the towing service, rigged up my van, and towed it to 115th and sandy (aka: armpit of hell).
So, they charge $25 dollars every day that the car is impounded. thats in addition to the $235 dollars it costed me to get it out. long story short, i am finally home tonight at 2:30am, $235 dollars poorer, and one heck of a lot more pissed off at Holly Ridge Apartments and Dinky's Towing Service. Atleast the latter is based in the armpit of hell. |
